Everyday dusting

Close the slats flat and run a microfibre cloth or a soft duster along them, then tilt the other way and repeat. A quick weekly pass stops dust building into grime.

Deeper cleaning

For real wood, avoid soaking — a barely-damp cloth is enough, dried immediately. Faux-wood PVC slats are more forgiving and can take a slightly wetter wipe, which makes them ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

Keep the mechanism happy

Operate the tilt and lift gently and evenly. If a cord or wand starts to stick, don't force it — a quick service is far cheaper than a replacement.
