Blackout vs Dim-Out: Choosing Your Bedroom Fabric

The difference in one line
Blackout fabric blocks virtually all light; dim-out heavily reduces it but lets a soft glow through. Both are about how much light reaches the room when the blind is fully down.
Which one for the bedroom?
For deep sleep, shift workers, nurseries or home theatres, choose blackout. If you like waking gently with a little natural light, dim-out is the more comfortable middle ground.
Fit matters as much as fabric
Even blackout fabric leaks light around the edges if the blind is fitted inside a narrow recess. For true darkness, fit the blind outside the recess or pair it with side channels.
